In 2006, Akio Hoshigami is unable to pursue her goal of becoming a track-and-field athlete due to a leg injury. She continues school with her friend Ayano Umisoe, gradually adjusting to new experiences and reconnecting with her usual self. However, this changes when Ayano vanishes without explanation.
