Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica

A 14-year-old girl named Madoka Kaname experiences a nightmare in which a city lies in ruins, and a girl struggles against a monstrous entity. A feline-like being tells her she can alter this fate by making a contract with him and becoming a magical girl. The following day, Madoka meets a new student named Homura, who warns her to remain unchanged. Later, Madoka and her friend Sayaka encounter the same creature, Kyubey, who reveals that magical girls are real and that anyone can become one by signing a contract with him. In exchange for fighting creatures known as witches that bring despair to humanity, each girl is granted a single wish. However, Homura’s warning hints at deeper complications that Madoka and Sayaka may not yet understand.
