Bardock, who was meant to perish when Frieza's attack destroyed Planet Vegeta, was instead transported back in time to an era when the planet was home to unusual creatures. There, he encountered Chilled, an ancestor of Frieza and a space pirate, and engaged in battle to defend the planet. The episode was shown at Jump Festa 2012, held in December 2011.
