A group of panther demons come after Kagome in search for her shards of the Shikon Jewel. Sesshomaru encounters Toran, the ice panther deva, who reminds him of the defeat of the panther king in the hands of Inu no Taisho. Meanwhile, Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango encounter Karan and Shuran, the fire and lightning panther devas, who distract the three to allow Shunran, the floral panther deva, to have Kagome kidnapped.
