Kazuma returns from a journey to Arcanretia and enjoys a carefree life after clearing his debts with reward money from defeating a Devil King's general named Hans. A new adventurer named Ran approaches him at the Guild Hall, requesting a handshake and expressing admiration for his victories against the Devil King's forces. Inspired by the encounter, Kazuma is soon approached by the Guild's receptionist, Luna, who asks him to take on a mission to destroy a golem. Wanting to impress his admirer, he agrees and sets out on the quest with Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness.
