On the planet Prester, during a time when aviation is in its golden era, sky vehicles called vanships fill the skies. Claus Valca, a skilled pilot, and his navigator Lavie dream of becoming the first sky couriers to cross the Grand Stream in a vanship. Their ambitions shift when they meet a mysterious girl named Alvis, drawing them into a conflict between Anatoray and Disith, two nations engaged in a war of chivalric destruction.
