In a future where humans and robots live together, a popular activity among children is Robattles, where Medarot battle each other. The intelligence of a Medarot is stored in a Medal that can be removed from its body. Nine-year-old Ikki discovers a Rare Medal and later receives a Medarot named Metabee. The narrative follows their bond and development as they face various opponents in robot battles, relying on bravery and strategy.
