A teenager relocates to Tokyo for his parents' professional reasons and, after five years, returns to his former home, Sakuranomori, as a high school student. Upon coming back, he notices significant changes in the town and in the people he once knew. His childhood friend, once known for her warm smile and innocence, has become distant and somber.
