Nangoku Shounen Papuwa-kun

A young boy lives a peaceful life with his dog on a small South Pacific island until a man being chased by gangsters disrupts their quiet existence. The dog takes an important item from the man, sparking a long-standing rivalry between the boy and the man. The two then go through a sequence of strange and unusual experiences.
