Rayearth OVA

A desolate Earth is ruled by the corrupted castle of Cephiro, now dominating a ruined Tokyo. Hikaru, the main character, is captured by the ice-witch Alcyone before being saved by Lantis, who imprisons her in a magical labyrinth where she must demonstrate her abilities. Meanwhile, Umi and Fuu escape through the empty city in search of the dormant Mashin—powerful beings capable of merging with them to create colossal warriors. The untrained Magic Knights face Cephiro's warlocks, who pursue and attack them. Uncertainty remains whether the Mashin can provide enough strength to counter Cephiro's malevolent actions. A 1998 Director's Cut titled "Special Edition - The Wings of Hope" reworked the original three episodes into a two-hour film with added scenes and revised dialogue.
