Wangan Midnight

A high school student named Akio Asakura loses a race to a Porsche 911 Turbo nicknamed "Blackbird." Seeking to improve his car, he visits a junkyard and purchases a blue first-generation Datsun Fairlady Z (S30). He later learns that the car is modified to produce 620 horsepower and has a history of accidents involving its previous owners. The last owner had the same name as Akio. He dubs the car the "Devil Z" and begins a rivalry with the Blackbird and its driver, Tatsuya Shima.
