Vultures attack a group of monkeys which causes Laiya and Kimba (Leo) to come to their rescue. Kimba (Leo) protects Laiya some getting injured; however, Kimba (Leo) is badly scratched along the way. Laiya decides to go to the Crystal Forest to find a cure through a special herb, despite the other animals' hesitance.
