Vultures attack a group of monkeys, prompting Laiya and Kimba to intervene. During the rescue, Kimba sustains severe scratches while protecting Laiya. Determined to heal him, Laiya resolves to travel to the Crystal Forest to locate a specific healing herb, ignoring the reluctance of other animals. Kurosagi warns that the journey is perilous, noting that a guardian protects the legendary plant. This dangerous quest is undertaken to find the remedy needed for Kimba's injuries after the confrontation with the vultures.
