Todo Sojuro is a former mercenary instructor who returned to Japan after the war with his student Sylpha, whom he took in after she became an orphan. He later discovered that he had feelings for her, but chose to keep his distance in order to let her live a normal life. Unexpectedly, Sylpha also confessed her affection for him. The two now share a comedic domestic life together.
