Mizuho is a university student who is informed that a former high school classmate, Origuchi Haruka, has passed away. Although Mizuho does not remember being particularly close to Origuchi, the girl's mother insists they were best friends and asks Mizuho to find the boy Origuchi dated during high school. Initially, Mizuho recalls Origuchi as an unremarkable person with no known boyfriend, but Origuchi's mother reveals that she had a pregnancy and subsequent abortion during high school.
