The Chiu nation is renowned for its diverse martial arts styles and practitioners who strive for mastery. Ren Hogin practices Hakkesho, a technique involving hand movements that induce vomiting in opponents. He meets Poh Chomkin, whose father, Poh Kubitz, created the controversial Funshimuso style, which was regarded as foolish and never officially recognized. It is said that the style was so innovative that the authorities discredited it in an attempt to eradicate it. After completing the style, Poh Kubitz disappeared and has not been seen since. Poh Chomkin, a talented fighter, is determined to find his father and revive the Funshimuso style. However, powerful and secretive forces are intent on preventing its return.
