Takahiro Matoi's Alibi Investigation and the Detective Boys' Cat Search

In the interrogation room, Takahiro Matoi tells the police that he could not recall a thing after he had drinks with the victim, Shiori Jojima, and two other colleagues. Meanwhile, Conan and Haibara just arrive as they are asked by the Detective Boys to help find a cat for an old lady. While they are looking for it, they see Takagi and Chiba doing some kind of investigation. It turns out that the two are looking for a person that wore construction site uniform at the time where Matoi was drunk to confirm the alibi for Matoi. The boys are also curious about what happened to Matoi, so they ask Takagi and Chiba, to which they tell that Matoi was drunk somewhere around the location they are, and he saw someone on the other side of a wall that is opposite to where he was sitting. At 11:30 during a bird watching trip, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan see a suspicious person looking around before going to his truck containing two electric appliances through binoculars, but Conan points out something that suggests their detective work is not going to be put on hold. The police arrive at the scene as usual, and Takagi brings along the victim's older brother, Akihiro Kurotaki, who also notices something unusual about his younger brother's guitar case. In addition, the identity of the "suspicious" person that the Kogoro had noticed earlier is confirmed to be Takuro Shoyama, who is soon cleared of suspicion because his testimony is confirmed to be correct. But the case has another branch as Takuro received calls from his daughter, who hasn't been on good terms with her father and has left the house for 6 years. Following this route, the police go to Orie's residence but one of her neighbours tells them that she had gone to find a missing item since 10:30 this morning in a panicking mood as Orie told in her phone: Papa, help me! However, a man named Iwabuchi Katsuya - apparently Buchi's real name - is found dead there with a note of a potential robbery that will be performed by three men wielding bear spray in Kameo Jewelry Store at 10 a.m of the next day. However, the robbery does not occur at that store, but at a Jewelry Store in Tsurui City by those three, and every single news outlet received an anonymous tip about the police being led by the nose. While discussing the reward, the way they should tackle the issue, a man named Koji Tanaka passes by and gets caught in this as soon as he and Conan get to see the face of the suspected person. However, Tanaka insists on chasing the person alone while having the kids call the police instead.
