As Ryoga helps Ranma train for the match, he reveals that his ultimate intention is to put Ranma out of commission, so that he loses the match and is forced to date Kodachi, leaving Akane free for Ryoga to pursue. Ranma however, doesn't let Ryoga get the upper hand and trains with him all night long. On the day of the match, Ranma is extremely sleep-deprived and Kodachi keeps using unlawful ways to sabotage Ranma during the match. Ranma however, is able to gain the upper hand and turn the tide of the battle on Kodachi and win. Kodachi however, chooses to continue her pursuit of Ranma, which she terms is now fueled by a new, burning passion, much to Ranma's dismay. (Source: Wikipedia)
