Ep. 8: Haru faces skilled opponents while discovering Tomoko is the Red King Scarlet Rain.

Kuroyukihime’s team expands its territory, but Haru’s strategies become predictable. He returns home to find Tomoko Saito, his supposed second cousin, staying there while her parents are absent. Haru realizes she is actually a Burst Linker named Scarlet Rain, the Red King. After an incident in the bathroom, Tomoko challenges Haru to a Brain Burst match and easily defeats him. She then asks to meet Kuroyukihime in person. During their discussion, Kuroyukihime confesses her past feelings for the former Red King, Red Rider. She admits to beheading him after betraying the other Level 9s, revealing the dark history behind her current position and motivations.
