Unit 8 gathers proof linking Inagi to illegal acts, including the death of a former diet member. Despite this, the government directs their efforts toward securing the upcoming Tokyo City Summit and the new city hall. However, Mythos obtains video evidence of Inagi’s wrongdoing and broadcasts it during the summit proceedings. Enraged by the exposure, Bird reveals his true identity and hijacks the Summit space elevator. He threatens to use the structure to destroy Tokyo, escalating the conflict significantly. This sudden takeover forces the characters to confront the immediate danger posed by Bird’s actions amidst the high-profile political event.
