Suspicion grows around Haida as his office undergoes construction and he relocates to a private suite. After work, Inui advises Haida to focus more on Retsuko. Meanwhile, Retsuko enlists the aid of Kabae, Fenneko, and Ton to illegally access Haida’s computer to examine company data. Ton believes Haida is manipulating profit figures and urges them to uncover the accurate records. Retsuko confronts Haida to verify these claims, but he reacts with anger to her distrust. The following morning, Haida reports to Himuro, who questions the ethical implications of their actions. Himuro persuades him to remain steadfast, arguing that hesitation displays weakness. Later, Washimi asks Himuro for his opinion on Retsuko, and he describes her as obedient rather than rebellious.
