Ichigo Hoshimiya assists her mother at a takeaway bento shop until she accidentally ruins her brother Raichi’s photos of idol Mizuki Kanzaki. Her best friend Aoi Kiriya secures concert tickets, and the experience deeply impresses Ichigo. Aoi subsequently introduces her to Starlight Academy, an idol school utilizing an Aikatsu card system for outfit selection. Believing Ichigo possesses the qualities of an idol, Aoi encourages her to take the entrance exam. During the live audition, Ichigo delivers a special appeal performance that captivates Mizuki Kanzaki and the judges. Consequently, both Ichigo and Aoi successfully pass the examination and are admitted to the academy.
