Ep. 8: Yun reluctantly joins Yona and Hak after recalling his past with Ik-su

Ik-su requests that Yun accompany Yona and Hak, but Yun initially refuses due to his disdain for royalty. He nonetheless prepares new attire for Yona and cuts her hair. The narrative shifts to seven years earlier, when Yun lived in a starving village and attacked Ik-su after learning he distributed gold. Overcome with guilt, Yun treated Ik-su’s injuries, and Ik-su subsequently taught him straw shoe crafting. Motivated by a desire to learn and travel, Yun abandoned his home to join Ik-su. Returning to the present, Yun finally agrees to travel with Yona and Hak, sharing a tearful goodbye with Ik-su before departing.
