Kasuga composes an essay for Nakamura, prompting Kinoshita to question Kasuga's friends about his strange behavior. When Kasuga tries to hand the essay to Nakamura, she ignores him, forcing him to read it aloud before she flees. He subsequently travels to Nakamura's home to deliver the essay in person. Upon arriving at her doorstep, he is unexpectedly invited inside by Nakamura's father, who identifies Kasuga as her first friend.
