Kasuga enters Nakamura's room and discovers her diary, which he begins to read. As he reviews the contents, he recalls past events. Nakamura returns, snatches the diary, and flees. Kasuga pursues her and eventually catches up. Instead of demanding the diary back, he proposes a new agreement. He asks Nakamura to form a contract where they both do their best to leave their current circumstances for good someday. This moment marks the conclusion of their story as they agree to work together toward a future escape, ending the series with this shared resolution between the two characters.
