Glass Heart meets Ryo at Umibozu's café in Umibozu, but they are pursued by the Qing Long, the infantry branch of Zheng Dao Hui commanded by Zhao. The pair escapes into the locked-down streets of the Kabukichou area in Shinjuku. During the chase, Glass Heart urges Ryo to save himself and kill her, but he insists she must cherish her second chance at life. Ryo then contacts Saeko via the city surveillance system, proposing to lead the pursuers to a deserted hotel. This strategy allows the Special Assault Team (SAT) to engage the soldiers without endangering civilians.
