After learning Kaori has returned, Saeba Ryo wanders the streets of Shinjuku in a futile search for her. Meanwhile, Glass Heart, driven by a strong desire to meet Ryo, investigates clues regarding the secret message board code XYZ to contact City Hunter. Guided by visions of Kaori, she travels to the board's location at Shinjuku Station, only to find it removed due to disuse. Disheartened by this failure, Glass Heart faints from despair. Before she can strike the ground, Ryo appears and catches her, subsequently transporting her to a nearby clinic for care.
