A storm sinks Sinbad's ship after a treacherous captain strands the group on a raft. The survivors wash ashore on an island populated by miniature inhabitants who enslave them. To guarantee obedience, the captors hold Shera hostage. While Sinbad forms a bond with Jamaru, the daughter of King Boaru, his friend Ali Baba flees. He is subsequently captured by a rival tribe of small people living in the mountains, who are engaged in conflict with the coastal inhabitants. This narrative incorporates thematic elements derived from the Lilliput section of Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels.
