Ep. 31: Nadja's Inquisitive Question Regarding Abel's Nutcracker Carving
Aired on September 7, 2003

31
Nadja disrupts Abel’s carving session with an awkward question about a nutcracker doll. As she dances, a boy in a wheelchair and his mother Mary approach the stage, causing Abel to lose focus. George reveals he met Abel in Germany four years prior. Granny Anna explains that Abel was a doctor in a poor village during an epidemic when medicine was scarce. After his son Stefan fell ill, Abel committed crimes and was imprisoned. Confused about why Abel did not visit Stefan after his release, Nadja decides to ask Stefan, the wheelchair-bound boy present at the performance with his mother.
