Kennosuke discovers Nadja is devastated because Rosemary destroyed Collette’s ball gown. As the troupe discusses the dress, Harvey notes that Nadja is suspected of stealing a brooch. Collette is furious with Duke Preminger for trying to take her daughter, unaware of Rosemary’s role. Nadja visits the Premingers to return the brooch, but Rosemary has already convinced Collette that Nadja is a thief.
