Atom regains his memories and returns to Ochanomizu, prompting Tenma to aggressively seize control of the Ministry of Science using a robot dog. Tenma demands a private meeting with Atom, threatening to detonate a bomb within the facility. The confrontation takes place at Plant 7, a site significant to Tenma’s past with his son Tobio. During this encounter, Tenma’s deep sorrow and despair over abandoning Atom are revealed. In a fit of madness, Tenma raises the blast furnace temperature to destroy the Ministry. As the facility nears explosion, Tenma urges Atom to flee, forcing the young robot to make a painful decision regarding his creator’s fate.
