Ep. 2: Mokoto Investigates Lab 7 While Ran Faces a Rogue Robot Threat

Tsutsumi Mokoto, sister of Nerima University scientist Tsutsumi Moriya, seeks information regarding Lab 7 and their research. While Hiroshi and Tenma attend a board meeting to present the Bewusstsein system, Mokoto infiltrates the scrapyard housing Lab 7. There, she encounters Ochanomizu Ran, who knows the Lab 7 members and is infatuated with A106 after witnessing it save people during a parade. Mokoto departs to view the Lab 7 presentation, leaving Ran behind. Subsequently, Ran is attacked by a rogue robot but is rescued once again by A106.
