Seizaki doubts Fumio’s suicide and interrogates Emiko Hiramatsu, who was seen with Ano in Inaba. Emiko admits to arranging sexual encounters for men but reveals little else. She agrees to sign a statement only if Seizaki answers personal questions about his life. After Seizaki leaves her with officer Okuda, she deceives them and escapes the building. Further investigation suggests a connection between Nomaru and his rival, Kaika Itsuki. When Seizaki prepares to submit his report to his superiors, he is shocked to discover that Nomaru is present.
