Marucho frantically searches Bakugan Interspace and his home for Ren but finds nothing. Ren meets Sid, Lena, Mason, Jesse, and Zenet, scolding Jesse for compromising his cover. Marucho sends a secret message to arrange a meeting and battle with Ren. Fabia explains that Gundalia attacked Neathia, causing a quick defeat due to inexperienced Bakugan, and she sent a distress signal via Phantom Data to Bakugan Interspace on Earth. Shun discovers the battle between Marucho and Ren. Upon arrival, Marucho defeats Ren. Ren tries to persuade Marucho to join him, but Marucho refuses to abandon his friends. Ren ends their friendship, reveals his true Gundalian form, and declares they will be enemies next time they meet.
