Ep. 12: Miura pushes gag manga direction while Mashiro and Takagi resist before accepting the proposal

Miura concludes that the team should focus on gag manga due to steadier rankings, but Mashiro and Takagi remain uncertain, particularly Mashiro. During a meeting, Miura insists on the direction while Mashiro declines, arguing that gag does not suit Takagi’s writing or art style. Miura warns Mashiro against deciding alone, noting Takagi is not opposed, and suggests Mashiro improve his art or find another artist. Takagi reacts angrily, stating they cannot work with Miura, and both leave. On the way to the studio, Mashiro admits he is open to gag manga and appreciates Takagi’s defense. Later, they receive boxes of gag manga materials from Miura, realizing his passion. When Miura visits to apologize, they agree to proceed with the gag manga format.
