Mashiro reflects on his long-standing connection with Azuki, noting they share an unspoken understanding. Azuki’s best friend, Kaya Miyoshi, visits Takagi to complain about him revealing her dream, while displaying romantic interest that Mashiro and Miyoshi observe. Over the summer, Mashiro and Takagi reside at Mashiro’s uncle’s office to work on a manga titled The Two Earths. Upon completing the work, they contact the Shōnen Jacks editorial department to submit their project.
