Ep. 25: Akamatsu team faces robots at ModeWarp, leading to Miyako's fall and Kaede's tragic explosion.

The Akamatsu Industries team arrives at ModeWarp headquarters to find Hinoki, but encounters twelve hostile robots. The group's neuronoid carrying Keita, Sakura, and Mr. Akamatsu is destroyed, while Yanagi, Kaede, and Miyako defeat the machines. Miyako falls down a shaft, presumed dead. Kaede then exhibits symptoms of Algernon, laughing uncontrollably before triggering an explosion that kills herself, Yanagi, and their unborn child. Keita survives the crash, awakening in linker gel at the bottom of the facility near an unconscious Hinoki. Dr. Mamon appears, revealing his plan to use Betterman to continue research on creating the perfect human, initiated seven years prior. Mamon transforms into Brahman, drawing power from the surrounding linker gel, posing a severe threat that may overwhelm Betterman's Nebula seed.
