Ep. 118: Asta and Licht unite to defeat Zagred using the Demon Dweller Sword's true power
Lumiere kills Licht as requested, while Secre stops Zagred from seizing the Grimoire. The devil uses resurrection magic to send himself and the elves five centuries into the future. Secre petrifies Lumiere and becomes an Anti-bird, guarding the Grimoire for five centuries until Asta finds it. In the present, Asta, Yuno, and Patry confront Zagred as Lumiere and Secre arrive, awakening Licht's soul. The group fights together, realizing Zagred's magic mass grows while he lives. Licht uses the remaining elves' power to activate the Demon Dweller Sword's true potential to destroy Zagred. However, Zagred's heart survives and regenerates, proving that magic from their dimension cannot kill him. Asta deduces that the Demon Slayer Sword holds an ultimate power that must be unlocked using a unique force.
