Ep. 117: Zagred unleashes a magic-draining mass while Asta discovers immunity and Lumiere’s past is revealed.

Zagred summons a shapeless magical mass capable of draining life force, intending to unleash it globally. Finral teleports Nero to the bones, removing magic stones from Patry’s tablet to place in the First Wizard King’s statue, causing it to crack. After Asta saves Rhya and Mimosa, he is swallowed by the mass but finds his anti-magic grants immunity. Nozel directs Asta, Yuno, and Patry to assist Yami while he takes Mimosa elsewhere. As the statue crumbles, it transforms back into Lumiere Silvamilllion Clover, and Nero reverts to Secre Swallowtail. They instantly travel to the Shadow Palace, where Secre recalls events from 500 years ago. She remembers serving Lumiere, who created magic tools and advocated for equality. On the day of his sister’s wedding to Licht, a devil manipulated their family into murdering elves. Lumiere escaped too late, allowing Zagred to create the original 5 leaf Grimoire. Zagred then attempted to possess Licht, who used forbidden magic to become a giant demon before asking Lumiere to kill him.
