Ep. 154: Langris Vaude steps down as Vice Captain after a duel with Yuno.
Rumors circulate that Yuno will replace Langris Vaude as Vice-Captain of the Golden Dawn. Langris speaks with Finnes and discovers Finral is training to win her affection. Seeking to clarify their standing, Langris challenges Yuno to a duel with the wager that the loser must leave the Golden Dawn. During the fight, Yuno realizes Langris is holding back and provokes him into using lethal spells. Yuno ultimately outmaneuvers Langris, who admits defeat. Although Langris confesses he initially intended to lose, he acknowledges he tried to win after Yuno’s provocation. Vangeance permits Langris to resign, noting he has much to learn elsewhere but can return if desired. Langris warns Finral that he considers him a rival for Finnes’ love. Meanwhile, Magna receives permission from the Wizard King for Heart Kingdom training, and Gordon departs to train poison magic with his father. The group prepares to travel to the Heart Kingdom the next morning.
