Ep. 156: Yami and Asta unlock new abilities while rebels flee Spade Kingdom
Leopold confesses his inferiority to Mereoleona and Fuegoleon. Yami seeks Mereoleona’s guidance to master Mana Zone, admitting he only used it instinctively against Zagred. Yami and Asta struggle to match the speed of Mereoleona and Gaja despite ki detection. Asta recalls his Demon Dweller sword can borrow magic, while Yami learns to maneuver in mid-air. Asta lands his first blow on Gaja with a ranged anti-magic attack, and Yami defeats Mereoleona using Mana Zone’s Black Hole. Guardians report to Loropechika. Rill and Charmy excel at Mana Words, while Noelle and Secre show the most progress; Leopold and Finral are hindered by self-doubt. Rebel Spade Kingdom mages attempt to escape to the Clover Kingdom through a strong mana region with information on the Spade army. Attacked by soldiers, they transfer magic to Ralph, the son of a deceased commander. The incident reaches the Spade King, whose shadow reveals he is a devil vessel.
