Yami's assault splits Charlotte, sparing the city but breaching a magical prison that frees Gueldre Poizot and Revchi Salik. An elf-possessed knight forces them to cooperate, using Revchi's chains to bind his magic before fleeing. Meanwhile, an elf possessing Luck nearly kills Noelle and Kirsch, whose defenses fail against his new power. Rhya rejects Asta's peace due to past betrayal by Tetia's brother. Rill, possessed by Lira, joins the battle; Zora traps the pair, allowing Asta to strike Lira's chest, but the attack fails because the completed reincarnation spell nullifies Asta's swords. Three more possessed Royal Knights appear, prompting Mereoleona to stay behind to fight them while forcing Asta and Zora to escape. In the capital, Fuegoleon nearly regains consciousness.
