Rukia speaks with Aaroniero, who reveals himself as the true Kaien resurrected in Hueco Mundo as one of Aizen's Espadas. He offers her a chance to atone for his death by allowing her to be killed, provided she rescues Orihime Inoue. After she accepts, Kaien admits he was joking and orders her to kill her friends. Realizing the deception, Rukia attacks the imposter. However, Kaien quickly gains the upper hand in the battle, leveraging the fact that he originally taught Rukia how to fight. This confrontation occurs during the Arrancar: The Fierce Fight arc.
