Ep. 8: Nariyuki breaks a gifted smartphone while bathing, leading to Uruka’s exhaustion and a ramen cafe conversation.

Nariyuki’s mother wins a smartphone, but he struggles to use it. After Uruka suggests studying in the bath, Nariyuki attempts this and accidentally contacts Fumino, Rizu, and Uruka while they are bathing. The final video call with Uruka causes him to drop the phone in water, breaking it. Uruka studies harder and collapses from exhaustion. At the nurse’s office, a half-asleep Uruka snuggles close to Nariyuki, causing him to hide when the swim team arrives. He overhears them discussing Uruka’s feelings for him, which embarrasses him. Later, at a ramen cafe near a love hotel district, Uruka asks if he likes anyone. Nariyuki states he will not consider relationships until after final exams. When he asks if she likes him, she denies it, fearing rejection would ruin their friendship and preferring to wait until after their exams.
