Ep. 9: The Star of Ultimate Love and the Name of [X] (Part 1)

During parent-teacher conferences, Nariyuki's mother worries his future plans stem from poverty rather than happiness. Fumino’s father, Reiji, refuses to attend her invitation and threatens to evict her if she studies astronomy. After Fumino moves in with Nariyuki, she realizes their domestic harmony resembles a married couple. She recalls her mother’s mathematical genius and a past incident where Reiji slapped her for attempting math. When Uruka notices Fumino wearing the same underwear, Nariyuki helps retrieve clothes, leading to an encounter with Reiji. They hide in a cramped cupboard where Fumino finds her mother’s password-protected laptop containing a folder named Star. Deciding to live independently, she resolves to crack the password.
