Ep. 88: Boruto and Sarada return to Hidden Stone where Ku’s coup and Oonoki’s horror unfold.

Boruto and Sarada are captured and returned to the Hidden Stone headquarters alongside Oonoki. They discover that Ku and his allies have seized control of the village. Oonoki is horrified to learn that Ku plans to sacrifice the person he was meant to protect in order to extend his own life. Kokuyou and Kirara attack Boruto and Sarada, but Shikadai arrives to rescue them. The Ino-Shika-Cho Team engages Kokuyou in a cave. They manage to trick the Fabrication but struggle to gain the upper hand. Eventually, Akkun, whom Inojin had befriended, sacrifices itself to help the team defeat Kokuyou. Meanwhile, Kirara continues to battle Boruto and Sarada. This event occurs during the Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc, specifically episode 18 of 22.
