Neo Kyoto is an AR-infrastructure city ruled by a King, where social and economic status depends entirely on Build-Divide game skills. Teruto Kurabe wanders the streets holding bread when he encounters Sakura Banka being attacked by a thug. He uses a mysterious card to save her. Sakura assumes Teruto is highly skilled in Build-Divide and challenges him to a battle. She seeks a strong player to help her win Rebuild Battles and challenge the King. However, Teruto has lost all his memories.
