Ep. 9: Giant KUGE Statues and Illusions Confront Hiyori's Companions at the Tower

As Hiyori and her friends approach the Tower, they are blocked by two massive KUGE statues. Kikka and Naomitsu decide to let Hiyori proceed toward Teruto while they prepare to destroy the guardians. Naomitsu encounters an illusion of his sibling, and Kikka faces a vision of herself as King. Both are paralyzed by their reluctance to fight their respective counterparts, leaving them vulnerable despite the illusions being mere phantoms. Naomitsu refuses to strike his sibling, and Kikka is hindered by guilt over her past actions as King. The pair struggles against these mental blocks, raising the question of whether they will fall. Suddenly, an unexpected figure appears before Naomitsu, while Kikka experiences a sudden realization.
