Kamui and Kai advance to the second round alongside Ninja Master M, an eccentric participant who dresses and acts like a ninja. He encounters Aichi, who deduces that he is actually Aichi's teacher, Mr. Mark Whiting, though Ninja Master M denies this claim despite it being true. The tournament proceeds with Aichi facing Ninja Master M, while Kai competes against the previous tournament's champion, Kazuki Inaba. Ninja Master M utilizes the effects of his Nubatama ninja units to deplete the cards in Aichi's hand. He pushes Aichi into a corner by riding his ace card, Stealth Dragon, Voidmaster, leaving Aichi with only one card remaining. Meanwhile, Kai successfully defeats Inaba in his respective match.
