Ep. 3: Emi follows Aichi to Card Capital and discovers his passion for Vanguard

Emi worries about Aichi’s recent behavior and suspects he is associating with the wrong people when he leaves school with Morikawa and Izaki. She secretly follows the trio to Card Capital, expecting trouble, but instead finds them playing Vanguard with many others. The shop manager, Shin Nitta, introduces Emi to trading card games, allowing her to witness a match between Aichi and Morikawa. Aichi wins the battle without taking any damage. Observing her brother’s enthusiasm and growth through the game, Emi realizes how much Vanguard has positively changed him. Consequently, she abandons her concerns and becomes supportive of Aichi’s involvement in the hobby.
